London, huge Qantas reward release changes everything

A massive release of Qantas business class classic rewards yesterday is a game changer for those planning to head to UK & Europe in November 2022 - March 2023. We can only assume they have the guilts after announcing a bumper increase in revenue in a market update yesterday. Much to the benefit of frequent flyers, there are tickets on routes we have not seen in a very long time. There is significant business class capacity from Sydney, Melbourne and Perth to London. Unfortunately, there's no First class surfacing at the moment.

These redemption represent great value, routing from SYD to LHR, on QF1, an A380 service, a retail ticket would cost $11,551.

The same flights, as a points redemption, cost $1,276 and 289,200 points. The points are providing $10,275 ($11,551 - $1,276) worth of value or 3.6 cents per point.

There's availability from Perth as well; expect an update in Part three of the Perth series.
