Bangalore is creating opportunities for savvy frequent flyers
Qantas has expanded their network to include Bangalore as a destination for the first time. This brings about an exciting opportunity for Qantas frequent flyers trying to use their points to get to Europe in Business Class.
After a Qantas Journey on QF67 to Bangalore, there are British Airways reward redemption connections to London Heathrow or onto Dubai, the gateway to Europe.
QF67 departs Sydney four times a week (Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Friday) on the Airbus A330. Onboard you'll find the beautiful lie flat, Marc Newson designed business class seats.
There’s two options for connections, a leisurely traveler could stay in Bangalore for the evening then get a connecting flight the next day, (Example A) while a more time conscious traveler could connect through on the same day (Example B)
Example A. SYD - BLR - DXB. Overnight in Bangalore
Example B. SYD - BLR - DXB. Transit in Bangalore
Example C. SYD - BLR - DXB - LON
Example D: SYD - BLR - LON. Overnight in Bangalore
Remember, if you're taking the leisurely approach you may need a visa but if you’re connecting through on the same day, book the full trip including both legs on one ticket, that way it’s the airline’s responsibility to get you (and your bags!) through the transit and onto the final destination.
For those traveling business class and with Oneworld status, there is the 080 International Lounge that’s located at the International Departure Airside, Level 1, opposite Gate 34.
The best part is, theres availability well into 2023. Happy Searching.
